Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of a faculty member at SIBM, Pune with significant contributions expected are:

• To teach assigned Post-Graduate courses to facilitate the student learning process.
• To participate in the development and administration of assessments.
• To conduct Research in his/her area of expertise and to present the findings in Conferences and ensure that it results in scholarly Publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals
• To organize Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures.
• To mentor students for their Projects.
• To try and secure grants/funding for conducting Research.
• To participate in curriculum development activities.
• To engage with the industry for industry-academia collaboration.
• To contribute to the Institution building process by engaging with foreign
  faculty members for research collaborations, co-teaching a course, etc.

Additionally, the faculty member is to serve as an academic advisor to students; serve on college or university committees; engage in scholarly activities and/or creative endeavours that contribute to the academic mission of the University; and exhibit professional and academic leadership. Where appropriate, to serve on committees; to participate in independent study activities; and to render service to the professional or lay community, which is relevant to the individual’s academic speciality. Perform any such other related tasks and duties as and when assigned.
